There is a reason people come from all over the world to ski Alaska; the mountains and the snow. Kenai Heli Ski will provide you with an extremely unique experience, and we have terrain (thousands of square miles) that will accommodate all abilities. The mountains here are big, and there are lots of them, all of which means we have terrain that will put a smile on your face. You can only get the Alaska heli ski experience in AK, there is no substitute.

Skiing with Kenai Heli Ski offers something for everyone; big open bowls, spines, ramps, couloirs, long glacier runs, perfect powder, and steep faces. The vertical descents can range from 1,000 feet to 4,000 (305 meters to 1220 meters) plus. Our skiing takes place in the alpine (no trees) and on glaciers. The elevation band we spend most of our time skiing is typically between 2500 feet (762 meters) and 8500 feet (2590 meters). Lack of snow or powder skiing is rarely on our minds.

The terrain we ski will suit the ability level and pace of your group. Foremost is safety, then fun. The scale and vastness of Alaska can be awe-inspiring, and may take a few days to get comfortable with. Your skiing ability may be be put to the test at times, but we want you to have fun, and not be intimidated. Our goal is to find you the best powder skiing you have ever experienced. There are no groomed runs here, all of our skiing is in the backcountry environment and provided by Mother Nature.

A week in the Chugach Mountains with Kenai Heli Ski will be a vacation and adventure to remember forever; great heli skiing, amazing powder, beautiful scenery, and memories to last a lifetime. For us heli skiing and heli boarding is not only about the skiing (though it ranks right up there), but also; the Alaska environment, the excitement of the helicopter ride, working as a team, spending time with family and friends, solitude, making new friends, and enjoying every aspect of this special adventure.

Skiing the Steeps:

Alaska has gained a reputation for some of the best steep skiing in the world. Our goal is to provide you with a once in a lifetime powder skiing experience and provide the ability for skiers to challenge themselves. However, skiing the steep lines requires the right combination of weather, snowpack stability, snow quality, skiing ability, and teamwork. When conditions permit, and guests have established confidence and trust with their guide, the opportunity to work into steeper and exposed terrain can be permitted.
